Michael Volker is a high-technology entrepreneur and investor involved in the development of technology-based businesses. He is the current  Director of Simon Fraser University’s Innovation Office and President and Founder of WUTIF Capital (VCC) Inc – the Western Universities Technology Innovation Fund and Greenangel Energy Corp.

Mike is a Past Chairman of the Vancouver Enterprise Forum and founded and continues to manage the Vancouver Technology Angel Network (VANTEC). Mike is very active on the B.C. high tech scene, serving on the non-profit boards of New Ventures BC, Canadian Listed Companies Association and the Auditing and Assurance Standards Oversight Councilas well as various private company boards.

In 2009, Mike was named Canadian Angel Investor of the Year by the National Angel Organization as well as B.C. Angel of the Year by the B.C. Angel Forum.

Highlights will include anecdotes on the development of the CAN AM Spyder Roadster – Winner of a 2011 Catalyst Design Case Study from the Industrial Designers of America (ISDA) .
